Good evening JRCSD families and staff,
I would like to provide you with some information on the following topics:
1. JRCSD App
2. Walk to School Day
3. Elementary Early Release
4. COVID-19 testing protocol
JRCSD App
Our new district mobile app is live in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store! This mobile app is designed to provide information that our families and community need, all in one spot. There are links to district and school news, COVID-19 resources, busing, the school board, and links to Web2School and the district's social media pages.
If you have any questions or are in need of assistance, please contact JRCSD Communication Coordinator Nicholas Handy at [email protected] or (603) 933-0973.
Walk to School Day
Our district is participating in National Walk to School Day tomorrow, Wednesday, October 6, in the morning. Walk to School Day is designed to promote physical activity and to raise awareness of the need to create safer routes for students walking, rolling, and bicycling to school. Learner participation in this event is encouraged but not required. For more information about the specific drop off zones and times for each school, please go to our website.
Elementary Early Release
In addition to Walk to School Day, our elementary schools will observe an early release day tomorrow. Dismissal times for JGS and RMS are as follows:
11:50 a.m.: Car riders and walkers
12:00 p.m.: Buses
Additionally, RMS preschoolers will be dismissed at the following times:
11:00 a.m.: Car riders
11:15 a.m.: Buses
Lunch will be available on early release days. It will be a bagged lunch with one choice (sandwich, sides, and milk).
COVID-19 Testing Protocol
Any person who has new or unexplained symptoms of COVID-19 will be excluded from school and instructed to isolate until one of the following two conditions has been met: the person meets the CDC's criteria for ending home isolation OR our school nurses receive proof of a negative COVID-19 test result. In addition to a PCR or rapid test from a healthcare facility/provider, each of our schools will accept the results of rapid COVID-19 home test kits. In order for the school to accept the test results from a home test kit, individuals will need to provide a picture containing the following information: the test results, the learner's name, DOB, date of the test, lot #, and brand name. Any questions about this process can be directed to your child's school nurse.
Have a nice evening,
Reuben Duncan
JRCSD Superintendent
