Good evening JRCSD families and staff,
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope these next few days provide each of you time for reflection and an opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. Before I head out for the break, there are a couple of items I would like to bring to your attention:
1. Illness/COVID-19
2. Inclement Weather Survey
Illness/COVID-19
I was notified today of two (2) confirmed positive COVID-19 cases, one (1) at JGS, one (1) at CHS. The individual at JGS was last in the building on Friday, November 19, 2021. The individual at CHS was last in the building on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Inclement Weather Survey
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to the Inclement Weather Survey. We had 464 responses. While I still need to read through all of the comments before I present the results to the school board, I would like to share how people responded to how they would like us to handle inclement weather days.
The graph above shows that 44.4% of respondents would like to see a blend of snow days and remote learning days; 35.8% would like snow days without remote learning; 17.2% would like us to make all full-day inclement weather days be remote learning days. A small percentage of individuals provided variations to these three answers.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving,
Reuben Duncan
JRCSD Superintendent
