COVID-19 Data
I was notified today of six (6) confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in the district, two (2) at JGS, three (3) at JRMS, and one (1) at CHS. The individuals from JGS were last in the building on 12/21/21 and 1/4. The individuals from JRMS were last in the building on 12/10/21 and 1/5. The individual from CHS was last in the building on 1/6.
Updated Quarantine/Isolation Guidance
Many of you are probably aware that the CDC has updated its guidance around quarantining and isolation. While the district references the CDC in our Reopening Framework for some things, we have been using NH DPHS's guidance for quarantining and isolation throughout the school year. Earlier this week, NH DPHS officially adapted its guidance for the state. A document explaining this guidance
can be found here. In short, this change represents a potential for shortening the quarantining and isolation period under specific parameters.
Because of the way our Reopening Framework is structured, the district is able to adopt this guidance without a school board vote: page 13 of the framework says "The process of needing to be tested for COVID-19, having to quarantine/isolate, and whether contact tracing needs to take place will be determined on a case by case basis to account for the latest CDC and NH DPHS guidance."
The school board will continue to review data and discuss practices, as they have since the beginning of the pandemic. The board's next regularly scheduled meeting is on January 17.
Budget Hearing
This district will hold its annual budget hearing on Thursday, January 13 at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in the CHS Music Room and via Zoom. An agenda with Zoom information will be available on the
district's website early next week.
