JRCSD Update - April 1, 2022
Posted on 04/01/2022
Important Update GraphicGood evening JRCSD community,

Before we head into the weekend, there are a few items I wanted to bring to your attention:

1. RMS Principal Search
2. Route 202 Reconstruction Presentation
3. Default Budget Discussions

RMS Principal Search
I am pleased to announce that last night, the school board approved the nomination of Nicola Fraley as the next principal at Rindge Memorial School!

Many of you may already know Nicky as she is currently the assistant principal of Jaffrey Grade School/Rindge Memorial School, a role she has held for the past three years. She will step into this new role on July 1, 2022. For those of you who are looking to get to know Nicky better, we will hold a meet and greet event in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for more information about this event.

Route 202 Reconstruction Presentation
On Monday, April 4, the school board will hear a presentation about the upcoming Route 202 reconstruction project, which will reconfigure intersections in downtown Jaffrey. Because of the short and long term impacts of this project, the school board wanted to make sure that the community is aware of this discussion. There will be a special public comment opportunity following the presentation.

The school board meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the CHS Music Room. Zoom information for the meeting is provided at the top of the agenda, which can be found here

Default Budget Discussions
Also during the board meeting, I will present proposed budget reductions that will allow the district to work within the default budget for the 2022-23 school year. Much work has been done over the past month to find reductions that minimize staff loss or reduction to student programming.

Have a nice weekend.
