Just a reminder that voting day is March 13. Voting takes place at Rindge Memorial School for Rindge residents, and at the VFW for Jaffrey voters. Please support our schools!

I hope this letter finds you well and everyone is having a great break, getting some rest, spending time with friends and family, and is getting ready for a great March!
February was surely busy.  Highlights for me included the Hoops for Hope charity basketball game. This year the game raised a record $6500.00 for local families who have been affected by cancer. Thanks go out to all who attended and to the Hoops for Hope committee for their dedication and efforts to this worthy cause.
Another highlight was the Interact’s annual trip to Nicaragua. This year the club, led by Ms. McCarthy and Mr. Ferrell, once again headed south for a service learning trip to build a house for a family in need. They are a great group of Orioles working for a great cause.

This  morning we worked on another house needing help, we did some foundation and latrine digging. After lunch was the trip to Cerro Negro (black hill) to climb up the active volcano and run down the other side.
I am thrilled to announce and introduce our newest faculty member: Ms. Maude Herr will be joining our science department for the remainder of the school year.

Wednesday, March 21- All juniors will be taking the SAT’s as required by the state. Students should bring a photo ID. Not having one will not disqualify students; it just helps with registering students quicker and easier.

Seniors: be on the lookout for a mailing from the school counseling office. Seniors will soon be receiving the Class of 2018 Scholarship Information packet in the mail.

Winter Sports Awards will take place on March 14th. There will be a potluck dinner at 6:00 pm in CHS cafe followed by Awards.

Spring sports start March 19th. Please contact our athletic director, Mr. Springfield at d.springfield@sau47.org  or go to our athletic website for more information.
