Inquiry based research is essential to the success of students as they move forward to the next level in their academic careers and future employment as citizen leaders.  The Junior Inquiry Scholars is a program that teaches and reinforces skills in information literacy, the inquiry process, information analysis and synthesis, and communication.

Junior Inquiry Scholars is a partnership with Franklin Pierce University.  Undergraduate students, who have studied the Inquiry Process, work with faculty to mentor fourth to twelfth grade students, to identify a genuine wondering; compose an inquiry question; find, evaluate, and interpret/adapt original research; and finally, synthesize and present the findings.

The program culminates with a Inquiry Showcase held at FPU in the Spring.  Each year, an outstanding high school student(s) is recognized for their outstanding work.
