"Screenagers" Comes to JRMS/CHS

Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School/Conant High School will host a screening of a documentary that explores the impact of screen technology on kids in September.

“Screenagers: Growing Up in The Digital Age” will be shown in the JRMS presentation room on September 12 at 6 p.m. Directly following the film will be a facilitated panel discussion and ice cream social.

The documentary - created by physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston - not only explores the risks of too much screen time but also offers multiple approaches for how families and educators can work together to ensure children only have access to an appropriate amount of screen time.

This event was funded by The Youth Wellness Program out of Center for Population Health at Cheshire Medical Center (supporting the Healthy Monadnock Initiative) and the panel will be facilitated by The River Center. Reality Check has also partnered with us on this event.

NOTE: “Screenagers” aims to be the kick-off event for a monthly series of community events focused on a number of important and prevalent topics.
