Faith Jarest - Dedicated Special Educator

Faith Jarest has dedicated her life to serving the students of the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District. Faith was recently honored as this year's New  Hampshire Special Educator of the Year Runner-Up. Ask her students and they will tell you, "She cares about us." Ask her fellow teachers and they will describe how Faith tirelessly works to engage every student in learning. She has touched the hearts of so many, both special education and regular education.

Faith’s specializes in working with students with severe disabilities. She opens the doors to her room and allows all students to come and visit. Opening common space promotes interactions between regular education and special education students. Faith's room features a kitchen fostering a "family like" atmosphere while students heat lunch or fill water bottles

Faith directly teaches modified curriculum to her students in the areas of ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies. She integrated modified curriculum into her students’ regular education classes. Faith goes the extra mile to assure her students receive a seamless experience reducing anxiety and stress. She has established numerous Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO's) for students. This year, Faith organized an ELO  at a local pony farm.

For decades, Faith has given selflessly to our students and community. The ripples of her student dedication will continue for years to come.
