October is Manufacturing Month

October is Manufacturing Month

October is Manufacturing Month for the State of New Hampshire.  Schools across the state provide field trips for students to manufacturers in their communities to spotlight the growth and opportunities in the industry.

Locally, Conant students visited manufacturers on Wednesday, October 18. In addition, ConVal’s Region 14 Applied Technical Center will host a community event on Wednesday, October 25, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Lucy Hurlan Theater. For planning purposes, please RSVP by emailing Donna Noonan at dnoonan@conval.edu if you plan to attend. Everyone is welcome.

Conant High School Open House

Open House- Thursday, September 14th from 6:00-7:30 pm

Starting at 6:00 with an introduction and welcome in the cafeteria, we invite you to take a look at Conant High School. During this time, you are encouraged to take a tour of the building and stop by your child’s classrooms to meet his/her teachers.

Please note that while teachers will be available for you to meet, it is important for everyone to know that this is not “teacher-conference night”, rather a night for introductions and communication. If you would like to conference with a teacher, please feel free to schedule a meeting with him or her.

CHS places 1st in the NH State Envirothon

Wednesday, two of Conant's envirothon teams competed in the NH State Envirothon at NHTI. One of the teams placed first in the state and can now go to the North American competition 7/23-29 in Maryland. Both teams did well and I'm very proud of their work and performance. The second Conant team was only 4 students (all but one was new to envirothon and the 'veteran' was a sophomore).

The district is beginning the process of re-visioning and re-missioning and we strongly desire your expertise, feedback, and ideas at any of the following meetings. Superintendent Reuben Duncan looks forward to hearing your thoughts regarding the future of the JRCSD.

Order Class of 2017 Graduation Announcements

Parents of the Class of 2017 Graduates,

During the past several years there has been a substantial drop in parents ordering traditional graduation announcements featuring a fixed design with the school crest and unchangeable text.   Last year, on average, only 2 in every 100 households placed an order which left a substantial amount of preprinted announcements for the scrap pile.  Accordingly, we are replacing the school-designed announcements program with the more preferred photo card program and an online site set up specifically for your school.  There is no cost to the school for this program.

Today's parents prefer to send graduation announcements featuring a photo of the graduate and text customized by them and for them.

Our solution is to provide you with a source that you, in turn, can provide to the parents of your upcoming graduates where they can select from a variety of styles, upload the graduate's photo, set the text, and do it at their convenience.

Parents of the 2017 graduates can design and order their graduation announcements by going to our website at:

Select: ANNOUNCEMENTS on the black menu bar

Select: CONANT HIGH SCHOOL in the upper right grey drop-down box
